Learning & Study Skills

University places a unique forms of teaching and expectations on the students. The University environment, its processes and practices are new to most newly enrolled students. The academic freedom of the University life and the ‘open’ culture differ substantially to that of secondary school system. Students joining the University straight from the secondary school system may find it difficult to cope with the new situation. The new students need to be naturalized to the tertiary education culture early and also should be accustomed to the learning and study patterns in the University.

Focus of this module is to help the newly enrolled University students to get acquainted with the new academic culture and to develop the learning and study skills to successfully cope with the programmes of the University.
