Welcome to Environmental Engineering Module. This module builds on basic concepts taught in Fluid mechanics and introduces principles of environmental engineering. Environmental engineering was known as sanitary engineering in early days in USA and applies the principles of Engineering, Chemistry, and Biology for providing engineering the solutions for sanitation problems affecting public health. The overall aim of this module is to introduce the concepts related to water and wastewater treatment processes. Also it will teach sustainability principles  and pollution control methods.  The knowledge gained in this course will be used in Environmental Engineering Design module.
